Bison Band on the Plains

Well, as our need here dwindles, the bison ponder the beginning of the spring migration. Here we leave more than tribesman. Here lies the future bison. Buster (Boxer-person), Simon (Red bison), Dana (Holds fast), Emma (Play's shy), Morgan (Driven redbird), and Payton (Sour cucumber) are all new to the community of life. These young spirits can recapture their continuum with the trust, space, and wisdom given by all B-ison at heart. We've laid the foundations, sowed the seeds of changed minds, now we must trust their elders to follow through. Yes, each young spirit is destined for or involved in the concentration camps we call the school system, yes they are all fed on a conspicuous consumptive diet of this culture, but the bison can not change that stuff, only the minds of our tribesman and the young spirits that will carry the genes of the bison into the future. The old gnarled black-jack oak who is beginning the reformation of the dusty plains of central Oklahoma will watch over these young spirits until their elders join the bison on the migration. It's a bitter, hostile land, but having grown up here each of us has learned to find what joy the gods may bring. We have enjoyed catching up with those who have contacted us, and those we always wanted to contact (including a member of the Flaming Lips, who now holds a copy of "The little engine that couldn't"). We said our good-byes to those elders who will not see another winter, and we shared stories and broke bread with many old friends, but the gods of our mountain home are calling. We've slaved enough to get "home" and for some "Jah-bless". We only await those possible initiates to report from their scouted positions, and for the spring solstice. Bison care for Bison because that's what it takes, you can't change the big picture, you can't change anybody. Do for yourself and for your own and we'll all survive this mess. B-well.
